» Welcome to the DesmoDue Race Series website |
|
The DesmoDue race series is organised by the Ducati Sporting Club to enable
its members who currently enjoy trackday events to have the opportunity
to race in a Ducati based series at club level. The principle idea is
to provide a competitive series that is low-cost to enter and focuses
on riding ability rather than the size of the wallet.
The motorcycle must be based on an air-cooled 2 Valve Ducati
Twin cylinder produced since 1992, displacing no more than 675cc. The
machines used are allowed limited modifications. Most modifications are
only allowed for safety reasons or to allow older generations of the
Desmo Due family of motorcycles to remain competitive with the latest
machines. All motorcycles must meet the requirements of the ACU
Standing Regulations for Road Racing.
There are two classes of engine size allowed :
| Class A |
Dominic Cann - Class A Champion 2006 |
| |
Engines that were produced with an original capacity of 583cc must not exceed 675cc. Modifying the bore to reach the class limit is allowed.
For 618cc engines no increase in capacity is allowed |
| Class B |
| |
The maximum engine capacity will be 583cc |
Phil Huntley - Class B Champion 2006 |
For full technical specifications, see the "Rules, Regulations and Forms" area of this website.
