seat foam again
 

I am thinking of giving my 748 a bit of that race bike look by putting foam on the seat section, (also I hope it mite lower the seat height by 10mm)

Has anybody done this? is it just a case of taking off the old seat cover and foam and sticking the race foam to the plastic seat former.
Or is there another way that I should be doing it.

Haven't done it myself,but my mate's FZR1000 race bike has foam seat,he uses it on the road now,but it gives him arse ache!!Why not get a technoseal seat pad.Do you need to lower the seat height as i find my 748r is lower than the R6 i used to own?

I have always thought that my seat height was high, I have had the bike a year now and have never got round to checking the seat height. I have sat on a R1, R6, fireblade, and Mille R, but mine seams taller than all of those. I have a 30" inside leg and I can only just reach the floor.

Has your ride height/preload been adjusted?I'm only 5'9" but can get both feet down on the ground on mine (and i'm more than happy with the way the bike turns into corners) especially compared with my old R6 and my mates '03 R1.:devil:Other mate had 99 Mille and that felt tall,sat on new mille at NEC felt a tad taller but don't know whether that was down to beer!!!Told missus i want new 749r!!
