Hants RO Retires :(

Well it's been over 10 years since I became the Hants Regional Organiser and after much thought I have decided to retire :(

I will of course stay active within the region, but I think it is time for some new blood to take over.

Anyone interested in taking on the role should contact Antony chairman@ducatisportingclub.com . I would like to think that whoever takes it on will still use Popham as the meeting point as Dick has been a great host over the years.

I will still support the Mega Meet, but not be organising it as such, I feel this should be done by whoever takes over.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years as it is YOU that have made the region such a success, and I have made some great friends and long may it continue :)

See you all at Popham on Sunday and I'll buy you all a coffee :)

Thanks for all you have done over the years Roy, from the Hant rideouts, the Megameet, the Spitfire Trophy, Supporting the Oxon/Berks regional meets and for being a great Host whenever we and many others have visited the Hants region.

Roy,
So many things I would like to say.
You were there all those years ago when I shyly approched a group of Ducati Riders at my first ever DSC meet at the Red Devil and made me feel so welcome. The reason I have enjoyed many many Hants organised events :)

The club would have been half the club it was without you putting in all those hrs as a RO / Web manager / ride route leader and many other roles over the yrs.

The Hants group has and I hope still will be one of the most active DSC regions in the UK thanks to Your efforts and commitment.

From me personally Roy. THANK YOU. :D

See you at Popham soon.

Craig

Sorry to hear you are hanging up the RO's mantle for the Hant's region Roy, judging by some of the comments, your efforts over the last 10 years will be greatly missed.
I hope someone can take the region on, carry on the good work and that you will be there to point them in the right direction.
Anyone interested in being the RO for the Hants region, please contact myself or Antonye.

You mean no more mystery tours which have 3 tours of Winchester ?!

I'm sure we'll still be doing a few miles still to keep them spurs busy. Certainly you and pete made we very welcome when I first pitched up, unlike the doc guys the weeks before, hence I've been here since.

Do it's your fault ;)

But you're far too young to retire!! :)

You've always been a great help to the DSC and fellow Ducati riders, and I know this from the day I first joined the club myself and so it is with great sadness that you step down as an RO, but we know that you'll still be around and remain part of the club.

Many thanks,

My first impression of the club was how friendly and well run it was due in no small part to you Roy - behind the scenes as regional organiser, fanastic job, there at every meet, made it look easy but will be hard to follow - thanks Roy catch you latter.

Roy,

Without you the Hants region would not have been anywhere near as active as it has been for a decade and the friendships formed would not have developed.

You've been the driving force in organising countless rideouts and meets with associated memories that will stay with many of us for a long time, thank you.

Pete
