Number board painting

Just wondering if anyone has had quotes in the past for having number boards painted on their bike and what the cost was?

I've just applied for a quote so wanting to guage a reasonable price, but of a decent standard.

I've asked for separate quotes for front and rear so I can decide if the front vinyl is a more viable option for the front.

Thanks

Ask Nattyboy, he has just had the number boards painted on his race fairing;)

Casoli and Tecmoto will both do it mate... amongst others obviously....

some more of the lads will offer prices etc in a minute.

I had the number boards painted on the front and and tail of my Multi about ten months ago, cost me £160 which included plastic welding and filling the holes where the rubbers on the rear unit were.

I think the padded front number boards are about £60 from a dealer or the vinal ones are about £24 on here http://www.carbon-trader.com/

Thanks for the info I also noticed on my bike some of the paint on the frame is lifting, now is this something that can be patched or does the whole frame need to be done??

Note: It's not lifted off yet but it is bubbled?? Don't know why it's bubbled but it is.

Rust?

748IOM 24-Feb-2006 13:26

Don't know, it could be but at the moment it's just bubbled and feels like it would lift and flake away.

Just a small section but I was wondering the best way to treat it and too have it look it's best?

A guy on e-bay sells small bottles of touch-up paint. The gold for frames and wheels as well as the red and yellow for the other bits.

i have some gold in my desk. need it this weekend for a minor scratcch on my wheels, but i can ship to you after if you like.

very kind to offer, I'll inspect the damage over the weekend and let you know.

Is it something you touch up then rather than paint the whole frame? I realise there's cost reasons involved for the choice not to repaint the frame but would the finish still be good?
