I discussed it with Anthony on Monday.
Ideally I would prefer it if me and Trudi had control of the DD funds to spend as we think fit.

I'm not happy with the way things are at the moment and although I have had the entry form sat here on PC for over a month I'm not happy to issue it and ask for Money to come in without certain controls in place.

Now if people don't want to trust me with the money (in total its about 1% of my savings account) I may as well step down from trying to run DD as Trudi and myself have discussed various things we would like to do but are getting nowhere fast.

If we get about 35 riders we have a income of £700 to use.

Ideally going towards, ACU affiliattion, Production of Stickers, Promotional costs such as flyers and adverts and such things as the drinks etc at the riders meeting we had at Oulton.

Hopefully the Discussion I had with Anthony on Monday will get things moving in the right direction.

Yes, as myself and Kev discussed on monday, we need to look at the way the entry forms are done in conjunction with the membership fee, and to also provide the necessary online payment method for people to pay their DD fee, either with membership or by itself if they are already a member.

I am more than happy for Kev (and Trudi!) to have their own budget made from the entire DD funds to spend as they see fit - not only does it ease the burden on both myself and Martin but it also gives the DD team more freedom to spend it where they need to and manage it themselves.

Basically we are in agreement but need to sort out the finer details, then we can get the forms amended as required and publish the registration form for DD 2012.

thx for breaking the silence

I've got the other forms ready to go you see, so with time on my hands and boredom beyond set in, I'd like to get them off

SO I'll give Hottrax a call, assume they will be at the show this week? and make sure they will sign my card from y
last year, all results will be included, pay them my £30 then they can sign my ACU form and send on

bring on march :)

Nothing to stop you guys from sorting your ACU licences and Hottrax membership while we get the forms finalised!

Aye, got my membership (C1 & Supercup) yesterday and CB should have my ACU form for signing.

Will I still need to register with DSC/DD?

Yes - because the DSC run and promote the series, organise the sponsorship, pay for promotional items such as flyers, pay ACU registration fees, etc, etc.

If you're not a DSC member and registered for the series then you won't get out onto the grid!

I know it sounds a bit harsh that you have to pay additional membership costs to race in our series, but without the club there would be no series for you to race in. It's not a lot of money either, and it is invested back into the series.
