PC111 power supply?

Do I need an external battery on an 04 749 or will it power from the bike?

It powers from the bike battery, If its the same place as the 999 you will need the velcro pads to fix it to the battery. Theres a lip just under the neg terminal push the pc3 to the edge of the rear of battery and velcro it there . If its to far forward it catches the fairing ? Hope that helps:eureka::smug:

No i should think the 749 is powertful enough to power it.........:lol::lol:

You only need the external battery supply to power it up before it's fitted to the bike. As stated above, it gets it's power from the bikes battery once connected to that.

All done, thanks for the tips, you need the hands of a midget to get the plug into the airbox though!!
