999 tyre & exhaust comparisons

Well, the Pilot Race H2s are now in the back of the garage to be used on the track next year - the BT012SS are on and will be scrubbed in over the weekend.

I see from this weeks MCN that Bridgestone are bringing out the BT014 soon.........should be interesting, especially considering the number of manufacturers who will be selling BT014 shod bikes in 2004.

So just the exhaust to deal with now.

Again MCN featured an Akrapovic system for the 999.........any views anyone?

What should I get?;);););)

Was that the one that looked like ET?

I liked the look of the single exit pipe - whatever that was!!!

I'll have to check MCN

On a Duc it has to be Termis:D

uncledunnie 04-Oct-2003 14:06

I agree, Termi's look (and behave) the best.

The Agraphobic system might be cheaper but did you notice that it only had one pipe connected to the rear box?

Guess it just depends on what you want, how much cash you have and where you are taking the bike in output terms.

As for that bloody ET system - yuk!!

Never liked Bridgestones, would like to hear what you think. The Pilot Cup Sports are damn good - on the Duke anyway.

It has been suggested to me that Dunlop 207 RR 's are very good value for money - any thoughts?

Or is that a tyre thread ;)

Always rated 010's for road an track myself, couldn't wait to get the Pilots off and 010's on:D

Reckon sport cups are better than 010's I had on the blade, especially if it is damp/wet. I'll be staying with them. Termi on duke every time but do it properly with 54 or preferably 57mm system. Assymetric 2 into 2 is ok but poor second to the proper job.

The 'povic system uses a single outlet can simliler to the SilMotor set up.
I have to say,I thought the LeoVince system (the one that looks like ET) looked fantastic.A bit steep at 1500 quid tho.
Sorry tongpo,no pics yet.Ive been searching the net,but have drawn a blank so far.
