weights and measures

Hi chaps,

can anyone tell me what the fully laden weight is for a 1100s MultiStrada ?

Also, anyone that tours on one of these, do you use the DP tank bag or an aftermarket one ?

Finally, what sort of tank range do you get for spirited riding.

Cheers,
John.

Can you not wait for the new one then John??

I can wait, and will do so, well as long as they arrive before April/May next year.

I'm just interested to see what the multi will carry compared to the ST and other bikes as I couldn't find it in any of the quoted dimensions.
We want the new bike for the usual spirited two up touring (same as the ST is used for), so it is important it can carry the weight and do decent mileage between fills.
I'm just covering all my bases incase the new one is not up to the job.
Going on a diet is not likely to happen any time soon ;)

Tank range can vary between 160 miles,(normal riding) to 120 miles.(lunatic thrasher mode)Mine was an early 1000DS.
I never used a tank bag on mine,.....both bags I own are magnetic,....no good on the plastic tank.I have read good reports on the Famsa kit.
A briliant bike,.....I wish I still had mine,.....not sure that its any better than a ST2 though.
Loads of good info on
