Ducati 600ss Track / Race Bike For Sale
 

Right to cut a long story short last season i had a road 600ss which became a donor bike for the racer and then was not used. So last month Shane decided a trackday at Donington Park was in order and i didnt fancy taking my blade if the weather was gonna be crap (turned out to be the best day of the year so far!) so i set about turning my half stripped road 600ss into a trackbike. After being destroyed by a field of BSB riders in the fastest fast group known to man ive decided that im gonna sell the 600ss for someone to either use as a donor / spare bike or tweek a bit and get racing.

So.... its a 1996 Ducati 600ss, had a full service history, done 12000 miles and had 2 new Dunlop Sportmax tyres on. I have now stripped it and put 748, 998 fairings and seat unit, race front subframe, clip on handlebars, race double bubble screen, racesuppliesdirect rearsets and a EBC front brake disc. I gave it a mini service before taking it to Donington so its had new oil filter, new oil, new plugs, new fork oil, new fork seals and new brake fluid.

Now the bike also has a twin high rising carbon exhaust system on it however the down pipes are close to the rearsets.... now i manged to ride round all day using only half of each peg and the exhaust bandage stopped my boots catching fire but it was bought in a rush, on the cheap to get me to the trackday and did the job.... so any potential buyer may wish to sell them on and buy some standard cans for a more comfortable ride. The fairings could do with a re-spray and the bikes wiring loom has been cut down but still has the ignition and starter.

Ideal little project if someones wanting to join in DD at some point this season to see what racings like. To race itll need a bit of lockwire (on the oil filter, sump plug and filler cap), the control race tyres which are dunlops this year, potentially a rev counter (not essential), the back brake putting back on (i took it off as i never use it) and a shark fine and its eligible to race.

Im sticking it on here to see if anyones interested. if not ill slap it on ebay see what it goes for. I have an ideal price in mind but open to offers as ive nothing really to compare it to for a value other than stripping it for parts.
