Dunlop D207RR V\'s D208
 

Has anyone idea about the differences between the 2 above tyres.

i.e which is stickier ? how long will they last etc

They seem to be about the same price dealwise at the moment, so i'm up in the air at which ones to buy????

Any feedback positive or negative would be appreciated........

I've only ever used the 207RR's and they were fine but the 208's will be stickier. Couldn't tell you any more about them though.

Couldn't tell you the specific details, but I know that the 208GPs are very sticky when warmed up, but they take a while to get there and are a bit of a nightmare when cold!

They were fantastic on the track though!

The profile on the 208GP's is harsher for a start, and will turn a lot quicker, plus I think the tread pattern of the 207's runs pretty much to the edge of the tyre, whereas the 208GP's and 207GP stars don't.

GP's are stickier, but do need heat in them, which to be fair most tyres do, life time will be reduced, personally I prefer grip to durability

ive had a pair of 208's on for about 500 miles, and have to say thay are the dogs, seem to grip no matter what and only take a short time to warm up, have gone to these from supercorsa's and they are much better for road riding. the supercorsa's never seemed to totally heat up when on the road.

Stewmc are you running D208GP's or the standard D208's (ZR i they are called?)

I think the D208's currently on offer with MandP for £149 are standard ones......

Anybody got any comments on the 207RR's???

that the 208 is a replacement for the 207 basically. The 207 will phase out at some point. They will (have?) introduce a 208rr the same as the 207rr.

So the 208 as Stew says is the new 207...but you may have to wait (or might struggle to find?) anywhere with 208rr's.

I'm having the same dilemma...but I've decided to go for the 207rr's, and leave the trials for someone else just now;)
