748 frame engine numbers
 

Can you tell what the bike started life as from the frame/engine number. I have just bought (a month ago) a 748 which to me is the best I have ever been on. The bike was sold to me as a BP it looks like an S but it does come with all the original parts. Wheels seat unit etc to put it back to a BP. I bought it as a BP and so am not to concerned either way just it seems to say 748S in a lot of places:puzzled:

i have a 1998 748 bp and the frame number is zdm748s

Mine is a 1998 one and also ZDM748S I guess it must be the norm

i didn,t mention mine mine says 748saus as it was originally destined for australia and the speedo is in km. but i dont care thats where i'm emigrating and the bike is coming with me. but i'm sure they all start with zdm748s.

The S only started in 2000, and yes, they all start ZDM748S !
