Yes I saw that but £250 for a wheel that is going to be obsolete by the end of 2013 is a bit rich for me
I think the corse wheels take a bigger axle as well

Thanks tho

Are you after a small or large hub 16.5 wheel?

I have a marvic large hub 16.5 which you can have for £200 posted if you are not concerned about the hub size

You won't find 16.5 small hub. The only ones like that were made were specials. Very few kicking about.

For the big hub, I bought once from a guy in Austria a conversion spacer allowing to run big hub on road hub. Short of this, you are looking at big numbers.

You need to find a mag arm / Ducati Corse. The excentric size is different inner size (for big hub) as well as outter size. The big hub excentric won't work on a road swingarm or on aftermarket ones.

Just sold my 10 spokes perfectly refurbished wheels for £200 each on ebay. Gutted, they owed me a lot more than that. Sold a Dymag rear a long time back for £120.

thanks for the "you wont find one" advice, but Ive been offered a pair of 16.5 marvics with road hub fitment for £400 ,but don't need/cant afford both

Thanks also for the "you need to find a mag Corse arm" advice ,but Harris are making me a long arm for £250 ,the same as they made for Moto Cinelli and others in the day
Don't really need magnesium or Corse type lables for club racing

Can you stick a picture up of the finished job?

I assume that the rocker is the same but the shock needs revalving due to the increased leverage?

Pretty much
My 996 has the Spondon extended swingarm (Ray Stringer had a batch made) uses a standard rocker linked to a adjustable length Penske shock with high and low speed damping. All works very well.
When the 995 used the Spondon arm at the IOM it was using a Koni shock built to suit by Maxton. 2nd in the Senior Manx seems a fair reflection of how well it worked

im selling a 748RS 54mm full system that should work well. Sent you a pm with details. Cheers

There are some odd bits kicking around if you look hard enough I have a mag eccentric for a road arm. It was made for Foggy for the 1994 WSB when he hated the stability and they lengthened the stonck alloy swingarm prior to creating the mag long arm.
