New (Old) member saying hello.

Well just thought i'd join back up here and after some discussions with the MT, i'm once again posting.

Main reason is for future techincal knowledge as i've just bought the wife a 749 from Ducatisti. I know very very little about 749's so may at times need to pick a few brains.

Since the days of posting here i've owned about 12 bike, from R1's to Husky 510's and now onto my 3rd Yamaha XT660x. But the wife has always still had the Ducati passion. So, the time was right to buy her a bike. We were firstly going to buy a 748, but that fell through so jumped on a 749 after her having a little sit on it.

So... good morning and maybe speak to some of you soon.

W.

Welcome back Steve, hope your wife realy enjoys the bike, i went straight from a 748 to a 999R so missed out on riding a 749 but if it comes half as close to my 999R she is going to love it.

I have a Yamaha XT660x after having my Husqvarna 510 Supermoto stolen just over a week ago. I rarely go on track now, in fact the wife was the only one of us who did a trackday last year while was was looking after our 3 year old son.

Weeksy, a DSC Legend.

The day spent at a wet Donnington with You, Felix and Weagi racing seems like only last week but it must be 5 or more years ago.

Nostalgia alert:D

Ray.

That day still ranks among the best and worst of my times on a bike/track.

I was truely poor. Beyond all words. Although being on Louigis borrowed high spec 996's was bloody fantastic.

Nostalgia alert, certainly is, last time I saw him was when my Multi broke down at the side of the road (again). Thanks for stopping Weeksy, I know we couldn't patch it up but it was good of you to run around to get some tools to try sir :D
