Hi, has anyone fitted a traction control unit on to their 749 / 999? If so, any feedback? Thanks

Hopefully Dan will sell it to DOCGB this time and it will stay up.

Anyway, back on track... ho!ho!ho!

Anyone have any experience with after-market traction control kits? It must come with a whole load of sensors to wire up and I guess you'd want some settings to play with too...

as a few said when I asked same Q for 848 - why?! Other than really wet weather, why would a 749 or T9 need TC? Would it help for racing?

They're not to much hassle to fit, probably worth fitting if you do a lot of trackdays either early or late in the year and have a quick action throttle fitted an you prefer to stick with BSBs on Cold Damp tracks

Nemesis have brought out a traction control system but it's pretty pricey. It is a pukka system though that monitors lean angles etc. accounts for radius changes as you lean over etc. Many don't. The simple systems monitor wheel speed only and this won't give a true control as the radius, and hence wheel speed, changes as the bike leans. Can also lead to it cutting in when the front wheel lifts. The nemesis system accounts for this to.

Depends what level you're riding at and what system you run, but a good system especially in dodgy conditions will buy you time.
