Bikers4Macmillan: Charity Overnight bike ride - DONE!

It sometimes amuses me how most things I do or get involved with always have a story attached to them but this one is slightly different as anyone who has been touched by any cancer related event will know.

First up, this might not be a Ducati related story!

I've already signed up to ride across country on the longest day of the year, 21 June, from Holyhead in Wales to Skegness from Sunset to Sunrise, hence the name of the ride the 'S2S'.

Now I might well end up riding my Ducati but my aim is to support an amazing cancer survivor who I met on an Aprilia forum. Pete will be riding his Aprilia Falco for the event and I hope to ride mine too but, since my own health isnt fantastic these day, I might need a comfort option but will let the next few rides out decide.

In any case I'd like to help Pete reach his target of £5000 and I would request any donations to Pete's justgiving page, here:

http://www.justgiving.com/falcopete

If you fancy riding there might be some places available:

Thank you.

I'm hoping it will just be like a really fun nightshift :D

ALL 200 rider places are booked now with 180+ having paid which apparently, will make this the biggest turnout for the event since it was started!

I've decided to ride down on Friday and see a little of Wales and a look at the Anglesey race circuit, if possible.

Many Thanks to anyone who has donated to Pete's page...

Its easy, even by mobile!

Text - STST60, £ (with your amount) to 70070

Its completely anonymous and you have the option of adding Gift Aid or a message later.

Hopefully more, with piccies - after the event.

Ride Safe - Frank
