748s Rocker Arms Has anyone had problems with the rocker arms of their bike. If so is it due to not warming bike up and what is the average cost of each arm? Any information would be appreciated. |
oh dear oh dear oh dear .... and welcome ...... rocker arms are a known issue on dukes but not as common on 748's to my knowledge ..... they cost approximately £85 to £95 each depending on whether they are closing or opening rockers plust the labour costs involved in taking the heads off to get them replaced ... How many have you had go ????? .... I'll have a choca-moccha-latte-lite-decaff while you are at the bar ..... |
Maybe its time for me to advetise my spare 748 heads (complete) along with crankshaft Barrells and Pistons again. Any takers at £300 |
six .................. |
6!!! So going on for 600 quid plus labour! |
been there, seen the bill .... it ain't pretty .... I feel for you mate ...... how old is the bike as if it is only just out of warranty contact Andy Joyce at Ducati UK and he may agree to supply the parts free if its full main dealer maintained ...... |
i had a few go on my 748 last year and it was out of warranty but all was well when dealer got duk to come up with parts for free just paid for labour ...so worth a beg if full ducati service history. |
see the other post in 748/916 forum for my reply |
Dibs, its more common on 748's than on other bikes, possibly becasue they rev harder. Heads don't need to come off to change them though. |
