Emmett quits Renegade

Just had a text message from Virgin extras saying that Sean Emmett had quit Renegade due to irreconcilable differences.

So who will replace him? Leon Haslam? Anthony Gobert?

Maybe?

Emmett was supposed to at the Onyerbike open day yesterday but was not. Spoke with Michael Rutter and Leon Haslam. Leon told me that he is moving up to the 998 and is testing for the first time today or tomorrow at Cadwell (I think) didn't take that much notice at the time.

Looks like it's him.

Ah! That must be it then.

He was sacked and then reinstated before the last round for not turning up for the pit lane walk about on time. Given his results (or lack of them) aswell its not really surprising. Shame after last season.

I thought he would be top 3 this year.

If IFC had not folded last year he would IMO been BSB champ.

more than meets the eye?

not sure this is all down to Emmett, i think there may be another side to this story, - as the team owners, bosses have to take some of the flack, - from the first race of this season they have been left with their pants down by damn Monstermob (no disrespect to Burne but after the way Hizzy got dumped they won't ever get my cheers). Also Ruuter has bot been happy all year. I see this as a big shame for Emmett really, - after the heights that he has been to be now be out in the cold. He needs to look at the way Hodgson found his race head again, perhaps even take the rest of the season out, - perhaps a few guest rides? Get the deal for next year.
