Rear indicator not working Ironically I have just returned from an MOT and now my rear right indicator doesn't work. (Dash indicator light flashes fast). It worked when I went in and he passed it ok! The strange thing is it lights when the alarm arms so I know it's not the bulb or the wiring to it. Does anyone know where the flasher unit is on a 996 or is it controlled from the ECU? Thank you. |
Its down next to the battery. The big relay behind the cables next to the small yellow one. :D |
Thanks. Too cold to mess around in the garage now but i'll check it out. |
Jeez Colin - did you go out in the snow?!? |

No it was actually yesterday. (you caught me out). |
Won't be the flasher as the other side works. Alarm will put its own power to indicator circuit, so it'll probably be a loose connector. Usual suspects are the ones under the ECU/seat catch area. |
Thanks Nelly. |
It was indeed just a bad connection in one of the bullet connectors under the seat. All ok now. |
