Thats because its used for whippet racing in the winter season. Sun not over the horizon until May 1st :D:D:D |
Wonder if they are resurfacing the rough bits Ray? |
Track time have not released there dates as yet, but i could not find anything before may either elsewhere. Booo.... |
There are two less trackday companies As far as I know who used to offer Croft dates, Track time promotions are no more 100% bikes are no more I'll maybe give the circuit a call, only No limits and Hottrax are on the circuit website. Ray [Edited on 20-1-2006 by Ray] |
would you please post what you find out - croft is my fave......:puzzled::barfy::( |
In my humble opinion, the best days to go to Croft this year are below. Click on my link for more info. Friday 26 May Friday 9 June Monday 26 June Saturday 8 July Monday 24 July Monday 7 August Thursday 31 August Monday 18 September WeeJohnyB |
Hmmmm...I notice the Hottrax price for the 15th of May is £105 as well....I always remember £90 being the norm for Croft....inflation or lack of competition? Sadly yes - I cant find nothing before May either: http://www.uktrackdays.co.uk http://www.biketrackdays.co.uk LOL - neither of these sites show both hotrax and Nolimits - is anyone impartial ! Hmmmmm...once more... I've just Emailed Hottrax as the UKtrackdays website prices are £10 higher than the price they themselves quoted in a recent email ??? Also I note a special academy day on the 30th June for beginners to inters riders - I've done day like this with another school and quite enjoyed it: details here: http://www.hottrax-online.com/index....5bd 93b898f81 F |
Hmmmmm......a little knowledge is a dangerous thing eh:( Before you make post like this, maybe you should check your facts before making such assumptions as 'lack of competition', 'impartial' and by inference, price fixing on a public web site. Croft, with the odd exception, has been £99 for the past two years from TTP, No Limits and Hottrax. The price charged by the circuit is the same for everyone and has increased for 2006 and as a consequence, in this instance, it has been passed onto the end customer. The reason Croft don't have dates before May could be that they themselves decide to do this. Croft only have a set number of days a year they are allowed to run and I suspect see little point in asking track day operators to take such a huge financial risk as to book a date too early or late in the season to have any chance of filling it. You have a point about impartiality, but not the right one I summise. The websites you conveniently provide a link to are not definitive/official websites in any way and there is no obligation to pay to have your trackdays advertised on a site or for the rider to also be charged for the privilage of booking through it. The best place to find No Limits and Hottrax dates is on their own websites or speak to them directly as dates can change at this time of year. I think a comment about lack of competition in the UK trackday market is a little niave, when in 2005 3 established and respected operators ceased trading, namely, ESS, TTP and 100%. Let me tell you competition is fierce, profit margins are tiny or non-existent and the differentiation in the market is down to the quality of the day and sometimes a bit of luck with the weather, not a £6 price increase.
