Top Yoke question for Skidlids

Bet you didnt think you'd get asked a question in the ST section :D

Quite fancy converting my ST to fat bar and fitting my Aprilia Ohlins forks at the same time if possible...

So, am looking for a Duc (Monster?) with a 51mm top yoke and maybe a 56mm lower yoke - must recheck sizes.

Do you know of any even if its from an Ohlins special?

Don't know of any Ducati top yokes that size
56mm bottom yoke is typical Production ohlins such as 996SPS, 748R etc, but different stem

I would look at getting the yokes bored out as its only 0.5mm removed from the top yoke and 1mm from the bottom yoke

Final question - I always understood shimming forks into larger yokes to be a 'No-No!' (clipons, yes) but is there a safe way to do it?

No issues with shimming Yokes Frank, If I recall correctly Ducati even do a shim kit for either a 58mm or 56mm down to 53mm. I think I still have some yoke shims somewhere. And the TenKate WP WSBk front end Dallas has for his Pierobon is shimmed.
Just don't use to soft a material that will spread, so no copper, or pure aluminium sheet. Stainless or Titanium would be good to use, mine are machined from either alloy bar or tube, but no idea what grade
