talk to me about slick tyres.......... Im off for 4 days in almeria in Oct, weather permitting are they worth it, would i notice a difference and if so what make? Im currently running 209gp and ive never used slicks before.......... |
Andy, slicks work just as well in the wet as they do in the dry. No worries, mate! :frog: |
put the pipe down and move away from the computer. |
 Do you have a set of tyre warmers, Andy? |
Yes, i wouldnt be seen without my tyre warmers!..........now im looking for informative answers..........do you know anyone informative?;) |
If you got tyre warmers, you'll be alright on slicks :) Lots of informative folks on the DSC board. Fear not, Andy, one of them will be along to help you out. Oh, and you'll certainly notice the difference with slicks ... they're the ones without a tread pattern. Have fun in Almeria! |
  4D |
Andy, if its dry run slicks. They're grippy as f*** If it's damp with no standing water, run the slicks. If it's wet with standing water - wets or something else and you'll be fine. Keep the warmers on, keep the beers flowing and you'll be sweet. :D |
go with what you know,i had same option in april for jerez, turned out hot but pilot power race were fine. |
Im more than happy with the 209gp's, and im sure i wont get anywhere near their limit............;) its just the mystic about slicks are they more confidence installing? Do they last longer? and which ones? Wilf??? |
