Provisional 2011 MotoGP Entry List

The FIM has released a provisional entry list for the 2011 MotoGP World Championship. The 17-rider entry list contains no surprises, although it does confirm that reigning world champion's Yamaha are at present without a title sponsor after the loss of Fiat. Ducati's title sponsor Marlboro is not officially listed due to tobacco advertising restrictions.

Pretty thin Grid. Main points of interest for me are how the changes pan out

Will Stoner blitz the rest of the Honda riders.
How Cal Crutchlow goes.
How Spies gets on with this new team.
How the Doctor adapts to the Ducati.

The highlight of the race weeked is still gonna be the Moto 2 loonfest:D

I wonder how full the WSBK grid is looking?

Ray.

6 x Ducati
6 x Honda
4 x Yamaha
1 x Suzuki

= 17 bikes on the grid!

You're right it's a bit thin on the ground, but would you really want the 38 bikes of the Moto2 madness?! Surely that's too many?

Blimey, just had a look on the FIM site, only 20/21 bikes on the provisional list for world superbike.

I'd love to see 38 motoGP bikes on a grid, not sure the riders would agree though.

Ray.

We will have to wait and see how predictable the Moto GP races are going to be
Thank god for the madness otherwise known as Moto 2, long may it continue
