MCE for me also. 748 comp was £168 last year and Louise's M750 was £98 comp.

Fairly certain I'm with Motorcycle Direct - found them using thebikeinsurer.co.uk.

Before that I was with MCE. Ducati Insurance have never come up with a competitive quote for me :(

Carole Nash now, got a great deal ;) but ducati insurance (premier choice I think they are) have always done a good deal

Just switched to MCE after being with CN for over a decade.

848 + my ER5 commuter on the same TPFT policy. Great deal.

MCE for me.

Bionicle 12-Jan-2011 11:26

Have been on the phone to MCE this morning, am waiting for them to call me back, so far though its not looking too good as they still have not matched or got lower than Ducati Insurance quote of £855.

As i only returned to the UK in Dec 2009 i only have one years no claims as my German no claims were not accepted :( the bike has Bike-Trac tracker fitted, its locked in a stone Garage i only do around 3,000 miles a year on it and am willing to pay 1,000 excess. so its a joke at £855 it would be a joke at £500. my bleeding limited edition Audi TT Quattro only costs me £250 a year fully comp.

Been with E bike insurance for a few years after leaving carole nash to save a good few Hundred £££. All done online.

Used to have a multibike policy with E bike that basically cost the price of the dearest bike to insure and only a few ££ to add a second bike. Got rid of the second bike (non Ducati) so tried Ducati insurance last renewal time.

On an initial quote ducatinsurance were cheaper at the last renewal by a few £££ but when I looked into a full like for like they weren't any cheaper.

Certainly pays to shop around but the trouble is we tend to buy insurance on price, but only get to find out what sort of customer service we have bought when we have to claim.
