Reviving old 600ss Race Bike
 

Hi Everyine, I raced once with you guys a few years ago with a frine of mine, well actually quite a few years ago, anyway I'm reviving the crashed 600ss (not that badly damaged) and would like to race with you guys next year.
The biggest problem I have is the catch which rrtaiin sthe petrol tank to the frame was droken and i can't find a replacement anywhere.
How do you guys clip the tank to the frame ???

These days the scrutineers like to see the tank bolted down, so most have made a metal bracket in the form of an upside down T that bolts onto the tank where the catch did and then onto the frame where the other bracket for the catch is.

I'm not sure if number 23 will be available next year, Stafford Evans currently has first call on that number, not sure if you picked 23 last time or if it was the number the management team gave you at the time

At the moment we are using the Dunlop Alpha 13 SP control tyre along with Dunlop KR189 and KR389 Wets, but I have no tyre deal in place yet for next year, as this normally gets negotiated after the end of the season during November
