As the thread says Maxton shock for ss frame. only used for 4 weekends and is immaculate as ran it with a shock sock to protect it.Is sprung for rider in kit of 100Kg. Has all the fancy adjustability on it and maxton provide great backup for all their products. Will post picture shortly. cost just short of £ 800 new so will take £400 or near offer. Ride height adjuster etc built into shock.

Have you got a pic?

killerBunny 09-Jul-2013 15:08

Si will take a pic this afternoon and add it to the post. Sorry seen that you PM'd me but inbox was full

Does it fit the 620 ss too?

skidlids 10-Jul-2013 00:02

Yes :)

killerBunny 10-Jul-2013 08:14

As skids says it will fit. Just a straight swap and an easy job. It was made to order so is longer than a standard shock to get the height up at the back.

Spjallen 10-Jul-2013 10:28

why do you want to do that?

killerBunny 10-Jul-2013 13:26

Getting the bike up at the back speeds up the turn in. Skids will correct me am sure if wrong but a few people put the 750ie shock in I think which is a bit longer and speeds up the handling if they didn't have an ohlins unit or whatever as a cheaper solution.

I had (and still is) the same shock on my old bike. I made a new mounting eye so I could get even more ride height than normal, and it worked. :)

Not only does it speed up the turning by steepening the Rake angle and hence reducing the trail, it also raises the C of G so that it wants to drop on its side quicker
