Enduro experience for beginners

Hi,

I am tempted, in fact definitely do want to try Enduro or at least off roading, there must be loads of it near here as on Sundays there is a stream of off roaders buzzing up and down looking very muddy.

I read an article in a mag and looked up Geraint Jones Yamaha off road experience in Mid Wales, which sounds ideal except for the distance to be travelled to get there. Ideally I want to hire the lot, bike gear etc and receive training, does anyone know other schools prefrably in the South.

The mucky bikes you see at the weekends are likely just green-laners out terrorising the bridleways, these are the people you need to get to know if you catch the bug!
For organised days out you need to find something like the group I went with a couple of times (Clews Leisure), they were great but sadly no longer in business. The only other peeps i know of is one i don't have any experience of, but here's the link if you want a look...

I was looking at the Yamaha one at Winchester and there is also a Honda one down this way if you get desperate.

Already mentioned above, but here's the links:-

Honda - http://www.cashonda.com/offroad/intr...troduction.htm

Yamaha - http://www.yamaha-schools.co.uk/

I've done the Yamaha one - well run & a good laugh. There was a guy there that had never even ridden a motorbike before, let alone offroad. They seemed to look after him pretty well & I believe his wrist didn't take too long to heal !!!

There's also a trials day at:-

The trail bike mag forum mentioned above is very good & thier magazine (TBM) is excellent.

PS. I could be wrong, but from what I understand, the Geraint Jones offroad school is for more experienced riders/ racers.
