Race loom.....damn electronic stuff Wanted, so i can at leat attempt to start the shed mk2, a race loom for a 620ie motor. Or even someone who knows where one can be made for me. Being a clanky sometimes does have its drawbacks................... This could be the staw that breakes the camels back and sees me not enter BRands round.:( Mike, stuck in a world of splicing, soldering and throwing paddy fits. |
Reminds me I have to convert Matt Larretts Harness tomorrow see if we can het his 620 Engine running in his old Class B bike, that'll be the 3rd one in recent months |
fancy doing another? plenty of beers tokens in exchange? ;) |
Be finding the time Mike, especially if complicated Madmostin also wants me to pop up to West Brom and do the Harness on his Monster 620 For tomorrow, Matt had a 620 Multistrada loom but thats not suitable for the ECU he is using, neither was the Air temp sensor, so I'm going to have to adapt a loom off of S4R I had lying around Q1/ Do you have a Standard Monster of Supersport 620 Loom as a starting point Q2/ are using 620 Coded ECU Q3/ are using 620 Coded Clocks Q3/ are you going to be needing the Key Transponder (normally answered by the questions above) Q4/What Coils are you using |
Q1/ Do you have a Standard Monster of Supersport 620 Loom as a starting point - Yes standard 620ie monster loom Q2/ are using 620 Coded ECU - Yes, sent away to be virginised Q3/ are using 620 Coded Clocks - No Q3/ are you going to be needing the Key Transponder (normally answered by the questions above) - N immobiliser finction disabled Q4/What Coils are you using - Standard monster 620ie ones - unless there is a better alternative??????? I know you are busy Kev. if you can siggest a company to it I would be happy. Mike. |
Mike Virginised and IMMO OFF are two different things A virginised ECU still needs the clocks where as one with the IMMO Function removed or disabled does not Can you clarrify which as both are mentioned in your post above |
immo off |
Bit like Senna3's conversion then, although we kept 5 of the clock wires for the SSie Tacho, temp gauge and oil light. Is it from a 2002 model or later as the Start interlocks are different |
its a 2002 reg bike, not sure on build year. |
It would be 2002 build as thats the first year of the 620. So your not talking fitting a 620 engine into a 600ss Chassis but using a complete 620 Monster, which makes life a lot easier I'll see how I get on tomorrow Mike but I could be up for it |
