Done it at last! Rather than leave my savings in the bank to earn a miserly percent interest I have invested in precious metal! My '92 851 has gone into MotoRapido to have the heads overhauled and while it's all apart Steve is going to fit my 888 barrels and pistons and SP cams along with a P8 ecu and new chip. I can't wait for the result  So if anyone needs a P7 with an FIM chip or a spare set of 851 barrels & pistons in a month of so, let me know! Paul |
will that FIM chip fit my DD class A bike Paul? |
Well done for following Gordon Browns instructions to spend our way out of recession and hey, you can ride it in one of Boris's bus lanes as well now and with cheaper fuel.....just need them to scrap tax on bikes... Should make a nice difference to performance Paul WeeJohnyB |
Wondered why you were riding it to work on a cold, salt encrusted morning:D See you out and about this year then:confused: |

It was minus 3 when I left home and I know it gets colder going past Alresford.... I'd got to work before the tyres warmed up! |

I can certainly make it fit somewhere. 50quid to you  |
seriously...I know I'm a soft touch and ALL the stuff you've previously sold me is actually not fit for purpose......but potentially I do need a FIM chip and a power commander! £25? |

If you don't have any keys for yours then you'll need either an FIM or the JHP version. If you can get a matched ecu/clockset/key then adding a power commander is the best way. The FIM is more complex to setup than the PC3, which is why I put one on top of my FIM, having already flogged my std ecu setup as I only had one key.... So my FIM gives me an adjustable ignition map and revlimit and lets me junk the clocks and immobiliser and most of the loom etc and gives me a base fuel map with an offset for each cylinder, while the pc3 gives easy tweaking of the fuelling. Or something. £15 last offer? PS The 851 chip is just that, a chip that goes in the ecu, not a whole ecu. £10? |
OK throw in the mysteriously disappearing adjustable ride height adjuster and we'll call it £2.50 and I'll throw in a bag of scratchings! |
email me your email address as I can't find it and I'll pass it on to Rob (aka Slob) on the UKMOC forum as he's the man with your rod! Or pop over to the Monster forum and and do it yourself! |
