Question - SP3 does the 91' SP3 use a P8 or P7 ecu ?? and without P??? identifier how can I tell if it's a P7 or a P8. cheers Neil |
Hi Neil SP2/3/4/SPS use P7 ECU. In my understanding, P8 was only used on the later T8s (including SP5). Sorry, can't help with the ID/numbers. Steve |
Yep, my 1994 Strada came with a P8, now long gone to Denmark. |
bugger, so the one on fleabay is a P7 then... |
You can sometimes get P8s from Cosworths, Lancias etc off eBay. I have no idea if they work with 888 chips. Does someone know? Douglas |
The P8's are coded as IAW 435 whilst the P7 is labelled IAW 043. My (early) 888 has a P7. A P8 off a car should be fine as long as you fit a correct EPROM. Keith |
cheers guys, think I've found one over in Germany, Nathanhu has just sold me his. thanks again Neil |
the P8 has an external trimmer, i don't think the P7 has that, just an easy way to i.d one without the weber i.d sticker on it. |
ECU is the same, it's the processor that makes the difference. |
