749R servicing

Give Mike a call at MDracing 07783024248, Spanners at bsb and has his small independant setup at Ewell. Top guy who will probably give you a rough ball park figure over the phone. Well well recomended by many. What you pay is not allways related to the level of service an expert will provide. Mike will treat the bike as if its his own.

Graham, think you will find on the R models that belts are part of the service every year, unlike other models that have belts every 2 years.

Would be interested in what kind of price you come up with as I have to get mine serviced (2 year) next month as well.

Labour for 749R 12 month service is something like fourteen and a half hours, if I recall correctly. :o
It will be pricey if done "by the book".

Col996s 20-Jul-2006 21:06

How the hell can it take 14 hours to service a one year old bike. Not saying it's not correct it just seems along time?

Sharpy G 20-Jul-2006 21:44

maybe they have to make a special italian chant after removing each part ? LOL
or maybe they are working on the "you paid more for the bike" so "you can afford to pay more for the service" theory

which incidently isn't the case

still it's fun to ride !

doogalman 20-Jul-2006 22:04

Or maybe they are not sure how to do it!!!!
Mike will give you a spot on apraisel of what is needed.

If you took the plunge and bought an R then you should have calculated your running and servicing costs into your yearly budget, if you have to ask what its going to cost it means your likely to start cutting corners on sevices etc.

But your looking at over £400.00

If its 2yr service then they do the fork oil, which is one chunk of the hours.........
