Tyre Pressures ???
 

Hi folks,
Can anybody tell me the correct pressures for Pirrelli Diablo's on my 916 please ??

I am presently running 28 psi front and 32 rear, whilst "squishy" to begin with, they soon feel stable as they warm up,, but I am conviced this is bit low for road use.

i think the official road pressures ar 36/42 but most people run them a bit lower especially if riding fairly spirited.

i go for 33/36 generally

Run mine at 33/36 as well, any lower & you have the possability of dinging your rims when you hit a pot hole etc on our super non smooth roads.

the owners handbook for various ducati's i've had has reccommended 32/35 on original tyres (Michelins and Pirellis) and the tyre manufacturers guides, including Bridgestone, as i used 010's for quite some time.

More recently if you look at tyre manufactuers guides they are going for the standard catch all 36/42 for exactly the same tyres on the same bikes that were 32/36 the year before.

Wonder where you would stand with a crash investigator if you were found with the original far lower pressures that were OK last year, but not now?

Pirelli suggests some surprisingly high pressures to run in the Diablo, even for track-day fun. It recommends 32 psi in the front and 39 in the rear, and Pirelli says extra tire life on the street can be had by running 36 in the front and 42 in the rear.

Ah, but are those US pounds as big as "proper" British ones? :P

I think the only thing bigger in Britain are the beer glasses which (along with their contents) are impressive indeed!

1 US gallon = 3 785 litres
1 UK gallon = 4.545 litres.

Not only that, a US ton has only 2000 pounds. A UK ton has the full quantity of 2240 pounds.

My 749 manual recommended 30/32! Whatdya reckon? Should I up to 33/36?
