An ambition for all 1199 owners.....?
 

For a predominantly car biased blog they are remarkably fair in their analysis is to which is faster car or bike. They did an on board lap of the ring in 7.26 on a 1199.
Pushing well over 1g in some places and 272kp or 170mph down to sub 60kph. The g meter is like a fly in a bottle. The view in the bottom right corner must be the view from the riders visor. Otherwise he would not be going that fast.
No run off, no kitty litter, lots of metal, trees and other vehicles.

Just read the article - they've not done a lap on an 1199 yet, but the guy who WILL be doing it rode the lap in the video that did a 7m 26s lap, which is pretty good by anyone's standards!
