Clutch Spring Bolt Size

Following on from a previous thread, I have a stripped bolt on one of the springs for the pressure plate of my clutch.

Does anyone know what the spec of these bolts are so I can source a replacement?

Thanks

Are you sure its the bolt...isn't it usually the hole thread that gets buggered?

call Nelly at Cornerspeed on 01623 758877, he probably has a few laying round, it may be worth getting a set of stainless steel bolts, springs and caps as they are not as soft as the original bits ...

If you u2u me you address i'll stick one in the post for you.

Yes its the bolt head thats buggered, I will be replacing all with stainless but for now I just want to get the clutch plates cleaned, so before I drill out the old bolt I just want to get another to replace it with so I can still ride it after cleaning out the clutch.

I'll see how I get on today, my ducati dealer "may" have one in yet just thought I'd see if there was a size available aftermarket that I could get from an industrial supplier over here.

As I'm using the bike as transport its not like I can take one with me as an example.

748mart, thanks for the offer, very generous. I'll see how I get on today.

The thread will be M6 and the length is around 20-25mm (measure the length of one of the others). There's nothing special about them. You should be able to buy one anywhere.

Nelly has stainless ones. No need for stainless springs or caps unless you are running an open cover.

They are M5 (5mm) thread and about 25mm long from what I recall, you need a 4mm Allen key to fit them

Yep. M5 x 20mm I think. 25mm should be fine though, but definately M5
