Throttle cable Anybody have a pic or describe the routing of the throttle cable where it passes through the frame please. The bottom of airbox is trapping it at the moment. To line it up with the bracket on the throttle body doesnt seem to give many options. |
That looks right based on mine. The only relevant photo I have in my strip down collection is attached. Keith |

Thank you and Merci, couldnt ask for better!.But looking at the pics back to back the cable runs under the diagonal on one,and over on the other. My airbox has a "rubber" under the rear trumpet hole, but not the front,is this correct?.Needs to come up a smidge to stop it trapping the cable. Cable/hose layouts in the manual show clutch hose going along left frame rail then across and under the rectifier, around front of headstock.Cant see the hose in the two pics, are they routed differently,or should I go to specsavers asap? Thanks again for the photos, the assistance/knowledge given here never ceases to amaze! |
Both trumpets should have the rubber washers |
Do you have a picture?,it would help if there was a rubber under the front,to lift the airbox a bit,but according to parts book theres only one under the rear, number 19 in pic. |
Mine also only has the one rubber. In the pic I posted, the clutch cable is visible (and runs where you say). Its the one that passes between the intakes and passes directly above the blue pressure sensor. If you need any further pics let me know and I'll get the camera out. Keith |
Sorry, I lied. Mine only has one rubber too but the raised section is moulded into the base of the airbox. See pic. |
I used to route my cable here |
Now, even with the slightly heavier 996 cable, I still route it below the two font tubes, up past the Reg and it loops past the headstock and up to the throttle |
