Sportmax GP207RR

anyone got a view on how well these handle (996). I have just been offered a set for £145 fitted and balanced)

Never liked dunlop mate!

I run Diablo's they are fecking great.

Make sure you fit a 180 rear and not the 190 helps the handling no end.

Bridgestones myself.

Gotta mate who's on his 4th 208RR because the first 3 APPEAR to have started delaminating (?) within a few days of fitment on his 748 at very low miles. Got to the point where he's starting to blame himself poor sod! Wait and see what Dunlop have to say but they've not been overly helpful so far!!

IMO : Steer clear!

Got these on my trick 900ss.

They are good tyres for fast road & trackday, although there is better out there.

Tend to be a good bet for trackdays at abrasive tracks like Donnington.

What you running at the moment?

These are getting to be a pretty old tyre design - hence the price, but well rated by some - these were used by the CSS for a while and the r6 cup boys used these before the 208RR came out.

Do they still make these? There must be some in stock at the places selling them cheap, but do they have a shelf life? Can you tell how old tyres are from some serial codes on the tyres or similar?

Also, what are you looking to use them for? Road / Track combination?

...and is it worth the risk/uncertainty when you can get a new off the shelf pair of diablos for only a few pennies more???

the supacorsas came off today (worn to *****ffrom trackdays and ranching cattle on the farm) and the corsas went on for the fast tour to brno in August. Dunlop idea now a past dalliance.......... Best to stick with Italian (even if they are german......oooops 1939 looming)
