Performance Bikes - This month

Hugely modified 999 in this months PB. Thorsten Durbahn bike is very radically different from showroom. Worth the £2.50 just for that article.

Ducnow 21-Jan-2006 12:15

Gotta buy PB this month :D

Nattyboy 21-Jan-2006 13:53

Evry time I see that it just looks better and better. If ducati made that., then there would be HUGE rush to the showrooms me thinks..

hmmmm looks good

dickieducati 21-Jan-2006 14:40

yeah i actually like that. the sides still retain that 'ducati' look too. be interesting to see what it looks like with all the road 'clutter' on it. no.plate indicators, lights etc.

andyb 21-Jan-2006 14:52

The seat seems quite high...about as comfortable as the old shape!:lol:

Martinp 21-Jan-2006 14:53

hmmm theres a web site about tht bike think the guy that did it also has a sweet SP1, he went in to great detail about the bikes. Will find the link.

Ugh! I may be in a minority here but I don' t like it at all.

Just looks plasticky and Japanese to me. And the Style Police should be called just for those coloured baubles on the wheels. There's certainly nothing inspired about it, if it wasn't for the all-in-black it's be entirely un-noticeable.

Gaz 748 21-Jan-2006 19:19

Nice :D

749er 22-Jan-2006 02:09

If you buy PB just dont read the times for the 999 and 749 round their track. Disappointing.

sbwells 22-Jan-2006 02:45

That's the hardcore porn of the engineering world. Bloody fantastic job.

Brilliant, bloody Brilliant

veetwinducati 22-Jan-2006 09:29

I have to agree that really does look superb! Hell it's so streamlined it even shows it's ribs on one side! Quality alternative....now where's that piggy bank?!:sing:

duc daz 22-Jan-2006 10:28

Ayup. Not particularly nice overall, especially the nose and tail, which looks like a trackday bodge-up.

andyb 22-Jan-2006 21:32

" which looks like a trackday bodge-up."

........and youve certainly bodged a few trackdays up......

:lol::lol::lol:

Loz 22-Jan-2006 21:44

Andy, I'd completely forgotten that! Thanks for reminding me! :rolleye:

(And it was only that one TD at Rocky that needed a serious bodge - thanks again for the loan of the clutch.)

Maybe. Which of the other ones are you referring to? :frog:

Oh yeah, can I have your lower fork yoke, Andy? You can have mine in exchange. It's been modified and I know you like mods. :P
