95 ss oil light =/

Hi guys, need some help here.
Ok, after a multitude of issues resulting in a full carb rebuild I now progress to the next issue.
Today was an important day for my 95 ss as it was her chance to finally prove she could at last be reliable.
All was going well and after covering 100 miles or so I was heading home confident and happy that 12 months of issues were finally behind us - until the oil warning light came on.....
It appears to have a mind of its own - coming on and going off randomly at any engine speed - sometimes staying on for 10 secs, then going off, then flickering - there appears to be no pattern.
Oil and filter is brand new, oil pressure switch (oem) was new last year and the level is fine. Mileage is 13k.
The oil was well up to temp and The Ol Duke running better than I've ever known her.
The biggest issue recently repaired was faulty carb seals dripping (a LOT) of fuel into the crankcase and this was the 1st time ridden since repair.
Might be unrelated but the fuel light also has a mind of its own - it's been this way since the 4 years I've owned her and has never bothered me - nor has it seemed to cause issue anywhere.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Many thanks.

Hi there and well done for getting your SS on the road again!

I do seem to remember an issue related to voltage bleed in the instrument cluster, when riding at night I could see my other idiot lights glowing but, it never caused an issue.

Oil light is obviously, more of a worry.

My own icle forum details (apart from which gauge to use) how to test the oil pressure and expected values - I think doing this would be my next step.

It sounds to me like you have an electrical gremlin somewhere, maybe a bad earth or something is shorting out? Might be worth checking the wiring to see if you can see anything amiss, as well as making sure it has a good earth.
