CSC Ducati cleans up at Pembrey Well all most a clean sweep for Mark Baldock at the North Glos club races at Pembrey this weekend. Out of the 12 races he took part in he won 10 and finsihed 2nd in the other 2. He had six races each day and won 5 on the Saturday and 5 on the sunday, wining all the SoT races. So he now leads the clubs Sound of Thunder, Open and Powerbike Championships but strangely not the overall club championship. Team Boss Steve Caffyn must be a happy man at the moment with a 1st and 4th at the Manx GP last week to go with Marks continuing good form. Shame I wasn't there but I have put in a entry for the next and final round at Silverstone on October the 9th. Could be a good place to come and watch a Ducati 996RS in action. No not me I'll probably be on my 748. Kev [Edited on 6-9-2004 by skidlids] |
Blimey!:o |
How can you do 6 races in a day, that's virtually every second race, so you'd be non stop from the end of the race, straight to the holding area - this guy must be super fit. I suppose he also did qualifying sessions as well!!! I'm knackered after two races in a day. WeeJohnyB |
Two years back I was doing six races a day plus practice, works out at very good value when you have travelled all the way to Pembrey or Darley Moor. Also gives you lots of track time and with the Open and the Streetstocks coming before the SoT races it made for extra practice. Helped me to 6th in the North Glos SoT championship that year with a best result of 3rd. At my age it takes me most of the day to warm up and get on the pace  |
im knackered just reading about it |
That reminds me I must phone the team owner Steve and see if they are at Castle Combe this weekend. More than likely will be as they are only based down the road so its their local circuit. |
