New Member and 748R Owner

I have, after a patient search, purchased and just had transported across Australia a MY2000 748R. The owner was an older gentleman who had stored the bike in his shed for at least 3 years since it had last seen the road. He was a very reluctant seller and it took many months of correspondence showing that I was a long term Ducati owner for him to decide to sell it to me. The persistence was worth it.


I have given it a good cosmetic clean, and with a fresh battery and fluids it starts and runs nicely but does need belts/full service and an overall refresh before I register and ride it.
It has a 45/50mm link pipe, an Ultimap 241 EPROM and Carbon Termi's - otherwise it ticks all the boxes for OEM parts .
