Genuine Parts Delivery Times
 

After binning my bike nearly 5 weeks ago, I'm still waiting to get it back from the repair shop. I get a weekly update from them informing me of the progress but for the last 3 weeks, they have been waiting for a clutch cover. How bloomin' long do these things take? The original parts list was as long as my arm, but most appeared within a week but the clutch cover and front axle have taken an eternity. Front axle finally appeared after 4 weeks but still no clutch cover!! Is there a UK shortage because they are so frequently damaged!!

Can't believe they didn't write the thing off actually. The bike was only insured for 5K and the parts bill alone is in excess of 3.5K!! Thank God for Comprehensive insurance - just wish they were a bit quicker :(

I have a couple in stock if you want to point them in my direction??

I had to wait 13 weeks for a solo seat unit for a 2000 model 996, when it arrived it was the wrong one.

Seems to depend a bit on the dealer as well.. I know of a dealer who takes ages to get things in, but the dealers that supplied my 998 got a single seat (the correct one!0 and termis inside 10 days from Italy.
