I've had a Casoli Moto oversize slave cylinder on my 996S for the last 2 years and it's made a huge difference.Nelly at Cornerspeed can also supply larger slave cylinders & are well recommended.

I had the same problem - the beeping through putting it in service mode was bloody annoying, so now I just put an old battery in place which keeps the alarm happy (and quiet).
