If I was looking for another I'd look for a S2R 1000 as I think that the 2 valve engine suits the Monster character better than the 4 valve,...

Sent them away to Dymag for a referb too £220 but includes a check over for saftey and peice of mind address...

Think footrests need to be chemically stripped before you polish them as they are coated in a protective paint, not tried it but Nitromors (something like that anyway) might be what you need to use...
