So this is the delight of a slipper clutch?

I had a 2001 748E previously and the steering damper was locked in place, HOWEVER on the 1998 748BP I now have (with the S in the frame number), the damper has 2 mounting...

I had one, lost the front at Cadwell, fairings where a bit scuffed but I managed to tear out the clutch!
Cardon cover give sod-all protection.
