my 1999 748bp appears to be running on one cylinder only...i ascertain this by the fact that the exhaust pipes from the front cylinder are cold while the rear ones are red hot. any ideas?

oil warning light comes on after a few miles of riding, typically under 10. have just done a full oil change, inc filter, so i know there is plenty of oil in it. been told its oil pressure switch...
