Had a look on Ducati.com, but there parts lists only go back to 2000 and the 996 sps. Best bet probably is to contact them and see if they can send you the pdf file for your bike.

If it's the spyball specifically made for Ducati I think it's just a plug and play unit, so you just need to find the connector on the loom.
