First port of call will be to search for mscd.exe........ if not...... re-install from disk, i.e copy from OS CD to floppy as part of a boot disk..... yes..... the old floppys still have their uses.

It was 103 Db at about 5,000 - 5,500 rpm.

As far as I know all the R's came with 50mm Carbon Termi's, EPROM, stand and cover, and the 2001 model would have been no different. Usually a bike like this is well looked after and previous owners...
