I did the same with mine but went the whole hog with the Maxton kit.
At some point I'll have to sort out the other end. I can't shift the (plastic!) preload rings without damage, even with correct tool.
Got an alloy locking ring waiting to go on plus a freshly powdercoated spring (in black - never liked the yellow). Bike off road for winter and mods as of yesterday! |
