Mood: need a bike...
Just got back from the IOM - what a hoot, bike was great and she got plenty of looks. I missed the DSC meet up on the Sunday though, for some strange reason I thought it was the Tuesday...
Am running a sealed airbox, or as sealed as it can be, and the dips are not noticeable on the road at all. In fact the motor is surprisingly tractable low down in the rev range, the roundabout/traffic light/junction issue aint so bad and doesnt need as much clutch slip as I thought when riding.
BHP figures are rear wheel - went past a guy on a 999R on the mountain, had a bit crack at the creg, he reckoned he was giving it the berries and couldnt stay with her. Not so surprising really as the diet shes been on has liberated 45 - 50kg from her all in weight.
Dont forget theres no lights etc and everything else is either mag or carbon - so power figures dont tell the whole story.
Steve thanks for highlighting the difference with the older cams.
Oh yes the rods are Ok to that - 1st thing I checked out.
cheers

Neil
