Doesn't stop it happening, just as in the days when you weren't allowed to touch the crankshaft, engine builders were still balancing them and I know there are bikes out there with the ports cleaned up.
I know most of the guys in front of me would be beating me anyway so why should I stump up a £250 protest fee, for something that is hard to prove at the track as Ducati ports are hand finished anyway, when whats really needed is for me to improve my riding

And if nobody has had their valves ground in I would be shocked and if they can gring valves in without removing material I'll be shocked even more

As Ron says its a Can of Worms and only costs £250 a time to open it
