| Maplin will sell you a chip puller for not very much money. A screwdriver can be used but you do risk bending the pins. they can be straightened though but if you bend one badly enough and then snap it off its new chip time. Carpet tape makes a good subsitute for the correct sticker.
Dont forget that you will need to set up the injection to get the best out of the new chip. Its not just as simple as swapping them over.
If your in the midlands give Neil at Cornerspeed a bell. I think he does injection set ups for £35 or so. He did my ST4 a while back and its running better than ever. Best £35 i've ever spent. |
